Solo Vocals and Instruments Performances are further divided into two age categories:
13 & Below | 14 & Above
There is no age limit for Bands. Anyone above the age of 6 can register and participate.
How to Register

Mention your name, phone number, email id, country, and category (music + age) you want to register for.
Click Submit. Congratulations, you are registered for Spardha Idol 2023.
Here's the Process you'll go through after registering:
Preliminary
Round
1
- Upload 1 performance in your chosen category by 15th October 2023.
- Video should be less than 275MB or under 2 minutes in length.
- Candidates shortlisted for the next round will be notified on 21th October 2023.
Semi-Final
Round
2
- Shortlisted performances will be posted on social media for audience voting.
- You can share and promote your videos for votes.
- Audience Poll 60 % + Spardha Panel decision 40 %.
- Results announcement - 5th January 2024.
Final
Round
3
- Upload new video performance by 6th January 2024.
- External evaluation panel 50 % + Spardha Panel 50 %
- Winner Announcement - 10th February 2024.

FAQs
What is the age limit?
Anyone above the age of 6 can participate. There is no upper age limit.
Is this competition online?
Yes, this is an online competition. And you can participate from anywhere across the world through a recorded performance.
Is the contest international?
Yes, it’s a global competition. Since you will be competing online through a recorded performance, you can participate from anywhere in the world.
Is this competition only for singers?
No, we have three categories:
Solo Vocals: if you want to sing
Solo Instruments: If you want to play an instrument
Band: for a group performance (2 or more artists)
Can the song be in any language / a folk song / a Bollywood song?
Yes, you can sing any song in any language in the Vocals category.
It can be Folk, Indian Classical, Carnatic, Western, Bollywood or any other
film music.
Can I choose any instrument in the instrument category?
You can choose any of the following instruments:
- Piano
- Electric Keyboard
- Guitar
- Ukulele
- Flute
- Tabla
- Violin
In the group category, is it necessary to play an instrument?
No, there is no such compulsion. The group category is for you if you want to perform with someone - it can be a duet, acapella, or even multiple instruments without vocals.
Is there any Registration Fee?
No, registration is FREE for everyone.
When is the Registration deadline?
The last date to register is 15th September 2023.
When can I start uploading the videos?
The video submission starts from 16th September 2023.
The last date to submit the video is 15th October 2023.
I accidentally entered the wrong age group. How can I change?
Don’t worry. Near the registration closing date, we will provide you
access to the Spardha Idol Dashboard.
On the dashboard, you can edit your profile and change the age group.
Can I make more than 1 entry with one registration?
Yes, once you get access to the Spardha Idol Dashboard, you can add multiple participants in their respective categories to upload the videos.
Where can I upload the video?
You will be able to upload the video on your Spardha Idol Dashboard. You will receive the link to the dashboard in your email nearing the registration closing date - 15th September 2023.
What kind of video to post / What’s the format for the video / What should be the background and quality of the video?

Can I see the lyrics/notes while recording the video?
You can see the lyrics/notes as long as it doesn’t break the flow of your performance in the video.
Does the video that gets maximum votes win?
No. Audience Votes hold 60% weightage in the judging process while the decision of the evaluation panel holds 40% weightage.
I have no instrument but I can sing. Can I still participate?
Yes, definitely. You can register in the Solo Vocals category and sing any song of your choice.
Can I sing with a karaoke track?
